Thank you for generous donation (of�) to the LaSalle Sportsmen�s Junior Club Annual Sportsmen�s Dinner. Your support, along with that of many other members of the community, made our fund raising event an overwhelming success.

Because of your generosity, we will be able to fund all of the activities we have planned for the upcoming year. Our Junior Club is a self funded organization and relies on the free will support of not only our senior club members, but members of the community.

Dear LaSalle Sportsmen�s Club Members and Family Members,

While working to prepare the Junior Club Game Dinner recently, conversation ensued between other club members and myself surrounding the creation of a recipe book of cherished, all time favorite game recipes of club members and their families. We�re not just talking venison here � bring it all on! Duck, goose, squirrel, moose, elk, buffalo, wild boar, rabbit, turkey...I�m getting hungry. How about you?

The only caveats we request are as follows:

� Please indicate the CATEGORY you feel your recipe best belongs in. They are as follows:

o Main Dishes (includes grill, stir fry, roast, bake) Please note: One or two favorite, loved side dishes may be included if they really make your main dish game to die for!

o Soups

o Stews

o Casseroles

o Salads

o OR�your new category!

� The recipes you forward have been created more than once (time tested), are reliable and simply delicious. That is: you and your family drool over each mouthwatering, succulent mouthful � every time!

� Please include a recipe title and your first and last name and phone number, and/or e-mail (I will call/e-mail ONLY if recipe clarification is necessary)

� Please include your directions for proper preparation of the game, if necessary (e.g., marinating, rubbing, etc.)

� Please list ingredients in order of addition, with exact, customary measurements (cups, tablespoons, teaspoons, etc.) If brand name products are preferred and used in the recipe, please feel free to list the ingredients as such.

� Please bullet or number directions/steps in exact sequential order

� Please be as exact as possible with cooking times, temperatures, etc.

� Please LIMIT recipe submissions to TWO (2) per family to begin

� I will make every attempt to include each and every family�s recipe(s), within space and budget constraints, of course.

� My plan is to create a recipe book for all to enjoy, REASONABLE price to be agreed upon at a later date by Junior Club members and staff, to be sold and distributed to club members, family members and friends. This is not only a fundraiser to support the Junior Club, but a wonderful way to put our legacy recipes in fine print for future generations to enjoy. How�s that sound?

� All recipe submissions must be received on or before July. 31, 2010 to be considered for publication in recipe book!
