By the time you read this most of the hunting season will be over. I hope you all have had a successful harvest and a wonderful thanksgiving. There are still some hunting seasons open.

In The Southern Zone:

Regular Deer season closes-- Dec 11

Late Muzzle loading season-- Dec 12 - Dec 20

Late Bow hunting season -- Dec 12 - Dec 20

Crossbow can be used during late Muzzle loading season with a Muzzle loading Permit. Bear sea-son also runs with these late seasons.

Small Game:

Cottontail Rabbit -- Oct 1 - Feb 29

Squirrel -- Nov 1 - Feb 29

Ruffed Grouse - Oct 1 - Feb 29

Coyote -- Oct 1 - Mar 25

Waterfowl fall under Federal Regulations, but you can check the DEC website for seasons.

Don't forget about fishing, there's still some fishing that can be done and most likely Ice Fish-ing.
